Who We Are

Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, character development program for girls in 3rd through 6th grade. Dedicated volunteer coaches deliver a curriculum and overall experience that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident.

We use the power of running to provide girls with the tools to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices, recognize their gifts and activate their limitless potential as young women.

The 24-lesson Girls on the Run curriculum combines training for a 5K (3.1 miles) running event with lessons that inspire girls to become independent thinkers, enhance their problem solving skills and make healthy decisions. All of this is accomplished through an active collaboration with girls and their parents, schools, volunteers, staff, and the community.

Girls on the Run of Suffolk County is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 200+ locations across the United States and Canada.”

We're girls, we know it, and this is how we show it...

This spring marked Girls on the Run Boston's 6th season, and we are working to expand our chapter to include teams at new sites every season. Please complete and return a New Site Application if your Suffolk County school or neighborhood would like to host a team.
