Star Power Spotlight: Alison Erbig
An Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer for FM, a commercial insurance company, Alison Erbig joined the Girls on the Run Greater Boston Board of Directors in 2021 after a conversation with the Board’s former Co-Chair about her desire to give back more to the community. As a mom of two young girls, the mission of Girls on the Run immediately resonated.
“What inspires me most is the number of lives we touch,” she shares. “It’s not just the girls in the program — it’s their parents, families, educators, and volunteers. Collectively, we are all better because of our time with Girls on the Run.”
For Alison, the most meaningful moments come from hearing girls talk about how the program has helped them build confidence, improve their physical and mental health, and form strong friendships. She believes Girls on the Run plays an important role in supporting the next generation of women leaders and providing opportunities for girls who may not otherwise have access to after-school programs.
Outside of her professional and board service, Alison is most proud of her role as mom. She and her husband love spending time as a family — traveling, experiencing new things, learning about different cultures, and making memories together alongside their two rescue dogs.
