Start a Team checklist

Learn About the Program. Review the Girls on the Run Spring 2026 Site Info packet.
Schedule a Call. Contact us at gotrgbinfo@gmail.com to schedule an introductory call or reach out with any questions.
Confirm Your Site. Get approval from school/site leadership and confirm space for twice-weekly practices. The 8-9 week Spring season will kick off the week of March 29th, 2026.
Recruit Coaches. Confirm at least 3 adult volunteers who can commit to the season.
Register your Site. Complete the Spring 2026 Site Application and confirm your practice schedule/location.
Plan & Promote. Share registration info with families and community.
Kick Off the Season. Host your first practice and start the fun!

Site Liaison Responsibilities

Acts as the main contact at the site for Girls on the Run families/participants and Girls on the Run council staff before and throughout the program.
Aids in team member recruitment efforts by distributing marketing materials (provided by Girls on the Run) and spreading the word about Girls on the Run throughout the site community and via email using provided digital templates. This helps ensure there is a full team for each season at this location.
Offers support to families who need assistance with registration.
Recruits and confirms at least 3 coaches for each team.* New Coaches will be trained by Girls on the Run.

* We can work with you to identify some coaches from our volunteer pool, if necessary.
