Girls on the Run Greater Boston is excited to welcome 3 new members to the Board of Directors.

Lauren Jones, Marcia Murphy and John Santosuosso will officially join the governing board in January 2023.

Please help us welcome Lauren, Marcia and John! Read on to learn about their excitement in supporting Girls on the Run.

Lauren Jones, EVP, Massachusetts Business Roundtable

“I was first introduced to running when I was in middle school, and the sport has provided so many life lessons for me over time. Girls on the Run’s mission is inspiring and lifting up future leaders and I look forward to being a part of the Board to make a difference in the lives of young girls today and drive impact in the Boston region."

Marcia Murphy, SVP, State Street

“You had me at girls…seriously I had been trying to find an organization that was the right fit for me and as soon as I heard more about GOTR I knew!   The investment in girls at such a pivotal age can be life changing for their future and to pair that with exercise that impacts both body and mind is so powerful.  The level of excitement, energy and passion that exudes from every person I have met associated with the organization is contagious and I couldn’t be more excited to join this team.”

John Santosuosso, Partner, EY

“I am excited to join the Girls on the Run Board (GOTR) as I am passionate about the organization’s mission to get to our girls early and help them build confidence and life long skills that will enable them not only to succeed but to thrive in our society. Our world is becoming ever more complex and organizations such as GOTR that focus on the next generation of leaders are critical.  I endeavor to bring my more than 35 years of experiences and business acumen both to the organization and its great Board and look forward to contributing.”
